On this page
  1. What the total can include
  2. Use a coupon
  3. Set your country

The checkout shows every amount before you place an order. Nothing is added later without being shown on the order page first.

What the total can include#

  • Price: the Buy Now price, the accepted offer or the winning bid.
  • Marketplace fee: some marketplaces charge buyers a small fee. If so, it is shown as its own line.
  • Payment fee: some payment methods add a fee. It appears when you choose the method on the order page.
  • Tax: where tax applies, it is worked out from the country on your account.
  • Discount: a valid coupon lowers the total.

Use a coupon#

  1. On the checkout, find the Coupon box.
  2. Type the code and press Apply.
  3. The discount appears in the totals. If the code does not work, the box tells you why: expired, used up, or not valid for this domain.

Set your country#

Tax depends on where you are. Add your country in Account Settings before you check out. The checkout warns you when it is missing.

Sellers#

The seller's commission is not added to the buyer's total. It comes out of the seller's share. See Seller fees and commission.

After payment you can download the invoice. See Invoices.
