Identity verification, also called KYC ("know your customer"), proves that you are a real person or business. The marketplace may ask for it before you request a payout, bid on high-value auctions or receive the verified seller badge.

Which documents are accepted#

  • Passport
  • National ID card
  • Driving licence
  • Business registration, for company accounts

How to send your documents#

  1. Open Identity Verification in your member menu.
  2. Enter your name exactly as printed on the document, your date of birth and the issuing country.
  3. Upload a clear photo or scan of the front, and the back when the document has one.
  4. Press Send for review.

Our team checks the documents and e-mails you the result. The page always shows your current status.

If your documents are not accepted#

The page tells you why. Common reasons are a blurred photo, a cut-off corner, an expired document or a name that does not match your account. Fix the problem and send them again.

Tip: photograph the document on a dark, plain surface in daylight, with all four corners visible.

Your documents are stored privately and are only seen by staff who review them. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
