Give your transfer details (buyers)

After you pay, the seller needs to know where to send the domain. Until you tell them, the transfer waits for you.

Step by step#

1. Open the order under My Purchases.
2. In the transfer box, choose how you want to receive the domain:
   • Push to my account at the same registrar, if you have an account where the domain is now.
   • Transfer to my registrar with the authorisation code, to move it to the registrar you use.
   • Another way, explained in the note.
3. Pick your registrar and enter your account name or ID there. For a push, this must be exact.
4. Save. The seller is told and gets help steps for their registrar.

Using an authorisation code#

When the seller enters the code, you get a notice. The code is shown only on your order page, never in e-mails. Each view is logged and the number of views is limited, so copy it when you are ready to use it.

1. Copy the code from the order page.
2. Start an incoming transfer at your registrar and paste the code.
3. Press I started the transfer at my registrar so the seller knows.

Tip: save your usual registrar and account as defaults under Account Settings. They are used on your next purchase.
