Verification is not working

2 min read Updated Nov 4, 2026

Most failed checks have a simple cause. Go through this list before you ask for help.

Check the record#

  • Wait a little. DNS changes can take up to an hour to spread. We keep checking for you.
  • The host is doubled. If your panel adds the domain itself and you pasted the full name, the record ends up as host.example.com.example.com. Use the short host.
  • Quotes or spaces. Paste the value without quotes and without spaces at the ends.
  • Wrong place. You added the record at the registrar, but the name servers point somewhere else. See Where to add a DNS record.
  • Old token. Each start makes a new token. If you pressed Start again, use the newest value.
  • The token expired. The page shows how long the record is good for. Start again if it has passed.

Still not verified?#

  1. Use a public DNS lookup tool to check that the TXT record answers with the right value.
  2. Try the CNAME method if your provider handles TXT records badly.
  3. Choose Manual review and upload proof from your registrar. A moderator checks it.
  4. Or open a ticket with the domain name and a screenshot of your DNS settings.

Earlier attempts and their results are listed at the bottom of the verification page.
