A dispute asks our team to step into a sale that went wrong. You can open one on a paid order that has not completed yet.

When to open a dispute#

  • You paid but did not receive the domain.
  • The domain you received is not the one you bought.
  • The domain is not as described.
  • As a seller: the buyer does not confirm a transfer that is done.

Try the order messages first. Many problems are a wrong account ID or a locked domain, and both sides can fix them in minutes.

How to open one#

  1. Open the order under My Purchases, or the sale under My Sales.
  2. Press Report a problem.
  3. Choose the reason and describe what happened, with dates.
  4. Send it. The order is marked disputed and our team is told.

What happens next#

  • The dispute has its own thread. Both sides and our team write there.
  • Add evidence: registrar screenshots, transfer e-mails, the transfer evidence on the order.
  • Our team decides: a refund to the buyer, a release to the seller, or closing the dispute.

While a dispute is open, the order does not complete by itself and the money is not released. Read the Buyer Protection page and the Terms of Service.
