When a buyer pays through escrow, you are paid by the escrow provider, not from your AIODomain balance.

What you do#

  1. You get an e-mail when the buyer starts escrow. Create or sign in to your account at the provider with the same e-mail address.
  2. Wait until the sale under My Sales shows that the funds are secured. Do not transfer before that.
  3. Transfer the domain to the buyer's account and press Mark as transferred with a note. We tell the provider the domain was sent.
  4. When the buyer accepts, the provider releases the money to you, less its fee and the marketplace commission.

Where the money goes#

An escrow sale does not add to your Earnings balance on AIODomain. The provider pays you directly, using the payout details in your provider account. Make sure those details are complete.

Good to know#

  • The buyer has an inspection period after the transfer. The provider releases the money when it ends or when the buyer accepts.
  • If the buyer cancels before funding, the domain goes back on the market.
  • Questions about a release go to the provider. Questions about the order go to our support team.
