The value estimate tool gives an automated estimate of what a domain could sell for. It is a starting point, not a price tag.

How to use it#

  1. Open the value estimate page.
  2. Type a domain name and press Estimate the value.
  3. Read the estimate, the likely range and the confidence score.

What the estimate looks at#

  • The extension.
  • The length and whether the name is made of real words.
  • Keywords that buyers pay more for.
  • Hyphens, digits and how easy the name is to say.
  • The age of the registration and the interest on the marketplace.
  • Comparable names: public sales and listings with similar words or length.

The result lists each factor and how it moved the number, plus the comparable names it used.

Read it with care#

The estimate comes from the marketplace's own data and patterns. It is not an appraisal and no guarantee of any price. A low confidence score means there is little data for that kind of name. For an important decision, ask a broker.

There is an hourly limit on estimates. Your membership plan can raise it.

Tip: sellers see a Suggest a price button on the listing form that uses the same model.
