Every listing has a status. You see it in My Domains, next to each domain.

From draft to live#

  1. Draft: saved but not on the market. A new domain starts here.
  2. Verify ownership. See Why we verify ownership.
  3. Pending: you submitted it and a moderator is reviewing it.
  4. Active: live on the market. Buyers can find and buy it.

Tick Submit for approval after saving, or Put it on the market as soon as it is verified, to skip a step. Some sellers with a good record are approved automatically.

Other statuses#

  • Rejected: the moderator gave a reason. Fix it and submit again.
  • Paused: you took it off the market for now. Resume it any time.
  • Sale agreed: an offer was accepted or an order is open. It is reserved for that buyer.
  • Sold: the sale completed.
  • Expired: the listing period ended. Renew it to put it back.
  • Unpublished: taken down by you or by staff.

Why a listing is rejected#

Common reasons: ownership could not be confirmed, the name matches a trademark, the description is misleading, or the price is a placeholder. The rejection notice says which.
