Auctions on AIODomain use proxy bidding. You enter the most you are willing to pay. The system bids for you, only as much as needed to keep you in the lead.

Place a bid#

  1. Open an auction from Auctions.
  2. Check the current bid, the time left and the least you can bid now.
  3. Enter your maximum and press Place bid.

How the price moves#

  • The current price is the second-highest maximum plus one bid step, but never more than the leader's maximum.
  • If two people enter the same maximum, the earlier bid wins.
  • Your maximum stays hidden. Other bidders only see the current price.
  • Raising your own maximum while you lead does not raise the price.
  • Bidders appear as "Bidder 1", "Bidder 2" and so on. Names are not shown.

Follow your bids#

My Bids shows whether you are winning or outbid. You get a notice when someone outbids you, and when an auction you bid on is ending soon.

Bids are binding#

Only bid what you are ready to pay. If you bid by mistake, you may be able to take the bid back for a short time with Take back my bid, when the marketplace allows it. Read the Auction Rules.

Next: Reserve price, Buy Now and time extensions.
