How the marketplace works
AIODomain is a marketplace for domain names. Sellers list domains they own. Buyers find them, buy them at a fixed price, make an offer or bid in an auction. The marketplace runs the payment, the transfer and the support in between.
The life of a sale#
- A seller lists a domain and proves ownership with a DNS record. A moderator reviews the listing before it goes live.
- A buyer agrees a price with Buy Now, an accepted offer or a winning bid. This creates an order.
- The buyer pays with one of the payment methods on the order page, or through an escrow service when the marketplace offers one.
- The seller transfers the domain to the buyer's registrar account and marks the order transferred.
- The buyer confirms receipt. The seller's earnings, less the commission, become available for a payout.
What protects you#
- Listings show whether ownership was verified.
- The money is held until the buyer confirms the domain arrived.
- Either side can open a dispute on a paid order, and our team decides on the evidence.
