The AIODomain API lets your own software search listings, manage your domains, read offers and orders, and more. The full list of routes is in the API documentation.

Make a key#

  1. Open API Keys in your member menu.
  2. Give the key a Name so you know where it is used.
  3. Tick what it may do under What may it do? Choose only what you need.
  4. Optional: set how long it Lasts and limit it to your server's addresses with Only from these addresses.
  5. Press Make the key and copy it at once. It is shown only once; we keep only a fingerprint.

Send a request#

Send the key in the Authorization header:

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY" https://aiodomain.com/api/v1/listings

The header X-API-Key: YOUR_KEY works too. Answers are JSON. Requests with a body can send JSON or form data.

Keep keys safe#

  • Never put a key in browser code or a public repository.
  • Use one key per app, so you can revoke one without breaking the others.
  • Revoke a key at once if it may have leaked. Calls with it are refused from that moment.

Next: API scopes and limits.
